In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) with Egg Donation

IVF with egg donation is a method of assisted reproduction that uses the oocytes (eggs) of young healthy donors and the sperm of the intended parent(s) or a sperm donor.  Egg donation is frequent practice as a large percentage of infertility cases are due to advanced maternal age in women. IVF with egg donation perhaps provides the highest success rates as donors are young and have healthy reproductive systems.

The most common indications for egg donation are:

  • Early menopause;
  • Contraindications to stimulation with IVF or unsuccessful previous attempts;
  • Lack of ovaries;
  • Various developmental disabilities;
  • Pathology of the ovaries;
  • The risk of transmission of genetic diseases by inheritance;
  • Single men or same sex male couples.

In our clinic the program involves the use of eggs only from an anonymous donor.
